Under the Overpass

Service Description

Nancy Simpson Carter presents Under the Overpass, a contemporary aerial dance performance. Set in the urban concrete jungled of downtown Salt Lake City, this collection of dances brings to the surface the isolation, monotony, anxiety and grief of the early days of covid. Through dance we process the ways our personal and social landscapes changed in response to global pandemic. Join the talented cast for this memorable, unique event. This is a Bring-Your-Own-Seating event. There will be sections for blanket seating, low chairs and regular height chairs. Seating begins at 7:00pm; show begins at 7:30pm. This event is funded in part by Salt Lake City Arts Council's Artist Career Empowerment grant, utilizing funds from The National Endowment for the Arts. Aerial Arts of Utah has provided invaluable support and we also thank Sugar Space Arts Warehouse for all they do for the community.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelations made with fewer than 24 hours of notice are billed at full price. True emergencies can be accommodated.
